UAE Declares First Day of Eid Al Adha 2025

Abu Dhabi, UAE – May 27, 2025:
The Presidential Court has officially announced that Wednesday, 28th May 2025, will mark the first day of Dhu Al Hijjah, the final month in the Islamic calendar, following the sighting of the crescent moon on Tuesday evening.

Key Dates Confirmed:

• 1st Dhu Al Hijjah: Wednesday, 28th May 2025
• Arafat Day: Thursday, 5th June 2025
• Eid Al Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu Al Hijjah, the twelfth and final month in the Islamic calendar.

Eid Al Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is one of the most significant Islamic holidays and commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to Allah (SWT).
